Hello Lovely,

I'm so glad our paths have crossed. I have spent years learning and growing my passion to encourage women to come home to, love and take care of their bodies in every form.  I love watching others on their journey home to their body.  My passion for fitness stems from my own transformation story and a desire to see others shift into seeing their body as their ally.

Throughout high school, college and into my twenties my go to was to  eat all of my emotions.  Using food as my buffer from the world.  I was not happy with the way I felt and knew that something needed to change.  I hated getting dressed because I didn't like the way my clothes fit.  I wasn't able to keep up with my friends in simple tasks.  I just felt uncomfortable.  I wanted my physical strength to match my inner strength.

From there I tried many many different diet plans, loads of different gyms, and even participated in eating disorders, and a bikini competition, though all I really craved was more flow and connection in my life.  I wanted something that felt good inside and out and could be made into a happy lifestyle.  What I found to be universal and true to health is this.  First, it's not linear, much like life, there are cycles and rhythms.  And embracing the ebb and flow  and allowing changes throughout our lives makes the human experience so beautiful.  Second, there is NO magic pill, no shake, no wrap, no diet that will do what learning to love and take care of your body will do.  It is an inside job.  It is long lasting and sustainable. It is something that is not only physically but mentally healthy.  There's no obsessive combination of foods or number on a scale that will make you perfect, and it sure won't make you love yourself more.  Health is not meant to be that difficult and besides you are already perfectly you, there might just be room to invite in more movement.  That's where I come in ;) with lots of support and tools along the journey.

I found a much healthier lifestyle through intuitive nutrition and exercise.  I went from fast food to whole foods.  Being aware of what foods nourish me and make me feel most alive and well.  I got off the couch and started moving.  Lifting weights, dancing, walking, hiking, spin class, anything that felt nourishing and alive.  I befriended my old stories and found a love to sweat and move energy. I added spontaneity back in to my life and allowed for being in my body to be fun.  I chose to and am continuing to learn to choose to feel my feelings.  I found self love, self compassion and kindness.  I now know that for me exercise is a way to clear my mind, connect to and enrich my body as a whole. It takes commitment, mindfulness and courage to make this change, and it's worth every effort and shift.

Since coming home to my body and listening in to her, I got my health back, I found more confidence, and I chose to love myself.  I found my passion to help others do the same and feel the joy of living a more fulfilling lifestyle.  It is a practice.

I have multiple certifications and am always taking classes to learn and grow.  Proper form and safety are priority for me and I always ask my clients to participate in hearing the signals of their bodies in all movements. No matter where you are in your relationship with your body I'd love to support and encourage you along the way.

Hugs,

Genna
