Hello Gorgeous,

I'm so glad our paths have crossed. I have spent years learning and growing my passion to encourage women to come home to, love and take care of their bodies in every form.  I love watching others on their journey home to their body.  My passion for fitness stems from my own transformation story and a desire to help others shift to seeing their body as their ally.

Throughout high school, college and into my twenties my go to was to eat all of my emotions.  Using food as my buffer from the world and a way of not feeling what wanted to be felt.  I was not happy with the way I felt and knew that something needed to change.  I knew that there was more out there and that loving myself was possible.  I didn't feel strong, was not connected to my body at all, and felt shame around it.  I just felt uncomfortable.

I tried many many different diet plans, loads of different gyms, and even participated in eating disorders, and a bikini competition to try to control it.  After it all I realized that what I really craved was more flow and connection in my life.  I wanted something that felt good inside and out and could be made into a happy lifestyle.  Something that brought me freedom and joy.

What I found to be universal and true to health is this.  First, it's not linear, much like life, there are cycles and rhythms.  And embracing the ebb and flow  and allowing changes throughout our lives makes the human experience so beautiful.  Second, there is NO magic pill, no shake, no wrap, no diet that will do what choosing to love and take care of our bodies will do.  It is an inside job and it starts with connecting to and loving the parts of ourselves that may not feel lovable right now.

I found a much healthier lifestyle through intuitive nutrition and exercise.  I went from fast food to more whole foods.  Being aware of what foods nourish me and make me feel most alive and well by listening to my body cues.  Though I love myself a seven season binge watch, I make it a priority to move because I know it creates more clarity and overall well being.  I like to mix it up, sometimes lifting weights, dancing, walking, hiking, spin class, anything that feels nourishing and alive. Making space for lots of spontaneity and fun.  I continue to befriend my old stories around my body and exercise and quite love to sweat and move energy.  I choose to and am continuing to learn to allow all feelings through.   I found my passion to hold space for others do the same and feel the joy of living a more fulfilling lifestyle.  It is a practice.

I have multiple certifications and am always taking classes to learn and grow.  Proper form and safety are priority for me and I always ask my clients to participate in hearing the signals of their bodies in all movements. No matter where you are in your relationship with your body I'd love to support and encourage you along the way.

Hugs,

Genna
